Army of Ares Slot Overview

Army of Ares is a video slot with classic line-based gameplay and a modern feature package. Matching 3 or more symbols on a payline from the leftmost reel creates a win, while special symbols trigger Wrath Reels, free spins, and disc-multiplier bonus rounds.

RTP can vary by casino configuration, so players should always check the in-game information menu at Shuffle before they start.

Theme, Story & Visuals

Army of Ares takes place on a scorched battlefield under the gaze of the Greek god of war. Ranks of soldiers, war banners, and burning skies sit behind the reels, while shields, axes, spears, and warhorses fill the grid.

The art style is bold and sharp, with clean symbol design that keeps wins easy to read even when Wrath Reels and multipliers hit. Sound design leans into war drums and battle horns to support the high-intensity gameplay and create a constant sense of pressure.

Hacksaw releases like Army of Ares are usually included in the rolling reload offers Shuffle runs, making it one of the best crypto casino destinations for high-volatility slot fans.

Reels, Symbols & Payouts

The base game grid uses 5 reels and 4 rows with 14 fixed paylines. Wins form when 3 or more matching symbols land on one of those lines starting from reel 1.

Symbol values

Low-paying symbols are A–10 card ranks. Premiums are fully themed weapons and warriors, topped by Ares and wilds.

Typical payout structure for a 1.00 stake:

Wilds substitute for regular pay symbols and share the top-line payout, so full lines of wilds can create strong base-game hits before multipliers even come into play.

Army of Ares Features

Army of Ares leans heavily on stacked wild reels and multipliers that can chain together for explosive spins. Most of the game’s personality comes from three connected features and several paid entry options.

Wrath Reels

Wrath Reels are the core mechanic in the base game.

• A special Wrath symbol turns its entire reel into a Wild Wrath Reel.

• That reel gains a random multiplier that applies to any win involving that reel.

• When more than one Wrath Reel helps the same win, their multipliers combine for huge jumps in payout.

• Multiplier values can reach up to 300x in the base game.

• A Wrath Reel can also add up to 5 extra wilds randomly on the grid, which helps stack big-line connections.

This combination of stacked wilds and combined multipliers gives even ordinary-looking spins the potential to blow up into serious hits.

Fear and Flame Free Spins

The first dedicated bonus round is Fear and Flame.

• Triggered by landing 3 FS scatter symbols in a single spin.

• Awards 10 free spins.

• Wrath Reels still expand to wild reels but now can spawn extra wilds that carry their own multiplier values.

• These wild multipliers range up to 100x and interact with the reel multipliers, which can turn a single winning line into a massive payout.

Free spins keep the base-game flow but ramp up multiplier density, which is where the slot starts to show its real fangs.

Wrath and Ruin Bonus Game

Wrath and Ruin is the Chaos Crew-style hold-feature bonus that takes Army of Ares into full-on multiplier-building mode.

Key elements:

• Played on a grid of disc positions that can show different multiplier discs.

• Green discs add to the existing multiplier in their position.

• Red discs multiply the reel’s current multiplier, while Epic Red Discs spread that effect across the entire grid, multiplying every active value.

• Each boost ranges roughly between 1x and 10x, so values can climb quickly.

• A Battle Horse symbol collects above its reel and reveals an extra multiplier for that reel at the end of the round, up to 50x.

The feature usually runs on a three-life system familiar from other Hacksaw titles, where non-hit spins remove a life and new discs reset the counter.

Ares Ascends Super Bonus

Ares Ascends is the hidden epic tier of the bonus.

• Triggered by landing the maximum number of FS scatters in a single spin.

• Starts with the entire grid already filled with disc multipliers instead of empty positions.

• Guarantees at least one Battle Horse symbol from the outset.

This version skips the slow build-up and throws players straight into high-value multipliers, which helps justify its harder trigger and higher cost through the bonus buy menu.

Bonus Buy & FeatureSpins

Army of Ares includes multiple paid-entry options for markets where bonus buys are allowed.

Typical options:

• BonusHunt FeatureSpins – Costs around 3x bet and increases the chance to trigger any bonus round by roughly five times.

• Carnage FeatureSpins – Costs around 60x bet and guarantees at least one Wrath Reel on every spin while improving wild hit rate.

• Fear and Flame Buy – Costs around 100x bet and jumps straight into the standard free spins bonus.

• Wrath and Ruin Buy – Costs around 200x bet and launches the hold-feature bonus.

RTP varies slightly between each mode. Players should always check the exact values in the Shuffle game info panel before purchasing.

RTP, Volatility & Max Win

Army of Ares is rated medium to high volatility, with Hacksaw’s internal scale putting it at 4 out of 5. The hit frequency sits just under 25 percent, which means wins appear regularly although the biggest results lean heavily on bonus rounds and multiplier stacking.

RTP settings:

• Top configuration approximately 96.26 percent.

• Alternative configurations at around 94.34 percent, 92.28 percent, and 86.22 percent.

The theoretical maximum win is capped at 15,000x your stake, a figure achieved through extreme multiplier combinations in the bonus games.
