SHFL Lottery

How to Play

Open to Shuffle users with SHFL Tokens

  • The SHFL Lottery (the “Lotto”) is only available to users of the Shuffle.com platform.

  • Users need to acquire SHFL tokens in their Shuffle account to participate. Please see The SHFL Foundation for information on acquiring SHFL tokens.

  • Users need to abide by the Terms of Service and acknowledge the Lotto Disclaimer set out below.

Betting SHFL for Lotto Entries

  • Choose how many SHFL tokens you want to stake.

  • For every 50 SHFL staked, you will receive one Lotto ticket.

  • There is no limit to the number of SHFL you can stake and Lotto tickets you wish to receive.

Confirm Participation

  • Lotto ticket numbers will be randomly generated; alternatively, you may select your own numbers.

  • Clicking on “Place Bets” confirms your entry into the Lotto. The ticket will be entered into the current draw and future draws unless and until withdrawn by you.

  • SHFL tokens are debited from your balance for staking.

  • You can forfeit any Lotto ticket you have obtained by selecting “Unstake” in the “My Tickets” menu. Your ticket will be removed from the current Lotto draw and future draws immediately, but the SHFL tokens you staked to obtain the ticket will be unstaked AFTER the conclusion of the current Lotto draw.

Winning

Weekly Draw

  • Every Friday, 5 primary numbers (from 1-55) and 1 powerball number (from 1-18) are drawn.

  • A "View Results" section is updated with the latest draw results.

Matching Numbers and Prizes

  • Winning tickets need to have enough numbers which match the drawn numbers.

  • Winning numbers are highlighted on your "My Tickets" page.

  • Prizes are automatically calculated and displayed in your account. You can claim your winnings from the "Claim Rewards" section.

Prize Structure

  • Jackpot: Match all 5 primary numbers plus the powerball to win the weekly jackpot.

  • Second Prize: Match all 5 primary numbers to win 2nd division prize.

  • Third to Ninth Prizes: Various combinations of matching primary and powerball numbers result in different prize tiers.

Progressive Jackpot

  • If no jackpot is won, the prize pool rolls over to the next week, increasing the potential winnings. The prize pool will continue to roll over and increase week over week if no jackpot is won.

Q&A

Q: Can I withdraw from the Lotto?

  • A: Yes, you can forfeit any Lotto ticket you have received by clicking “Withdraw” in the “My Tickets” menu. If you forfeit a Lotto ticket, the ticket will be removed from the current draw and future draws and the SHFL tokens you staked to obtain it will enter a "pending unstake" state. After the draw concludes, your SHFL tokens will be returned to your Shuffle Wallet. If you change your mind, you can cancel the unstake before the draw concludes, and your ticket will be re-entered in the draw and future draws.

Q: What if no one wins the jackpot?

  • A: The jackpot rolls over to the next week, increasing the prize pool. This makes future draws even more exciting for the chance to win big!

Q: How are prizes paid out?

  • A: Prizes are paid out in USDC and can be claimed from the "Claim Rewards" section on Shuffle. You can see your winnings and choose to withdraw them or keep them in your Shuffle account.

Q: Can I play with the same numbers each week?

  • A: Yes, you can choose to keep the same numbers. Your tickets remain valid as long as you don't unstake your SHFL tokens.

Q: What happens after each Lotto draw?

  • A: The system automatically calculates winners, distributes prizes, and updates the prize pool for the next week. Your SHFL tokens remain staked for future draws unless you choose to unstake them.

Q: What happens if more than one user hits the jackpot or second prize?

  • A: If multiple users match all the numbers required for the jackpot or second prize, the winnings are shared equally among them.

Q: Do I need to stake my SHFL to get Lotto tickets, or is there a way I can purchase tickets?

  • A: Currently, staking your SHFL tokens is the only way to enter the Lotto. However, in the future, we plan to introduce the option to purchase tickets with other cryptocurrencies. These purchased tickets will be valid for upcoming Lotto draws only and won’t be perpetually entered like those obtained through staking SHFL.
